Welcome to Vientiane International School (VIS)!  We are a close knit community of learners committed to helping our students thrive in an environment where they can pursue their passions and interests.   At VIS, we want our students to embrace learning with curiosity, joy, and purpose and to apply what they know to real-world contexts.  Our educational approach is a commitment to our school’s mission and is designed to challenge, inspire, and empower our students, ensuring they are not only prepared for academic success but also equipped to expand their ways of thinking in order to be thoughtful, empathetic, global citizens.  Our faculty is comprised of experienced educators who deliver a progressive curriculum that is organized through the highly recognized and respected IB framework.

Community is at the heart of our school.  We strive to build strong, supportive relationships among students, parents, and staff,  as well as with our host nation, Laos.  Our collaborative efforts create a nurturing environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.  Through our commitment to fostering international mindedness, we provide our students with a global perspective, preparing them to navigate and contribute to an interconnected world.
