Accreditation
Vientiane International School is fully accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS) and Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) Vientiane International School is the only school in Laos and is one of a small selection of international schools in Asia accredited by both CIS and WASC.
Through the CIS/WASC accreditation program school improvement is encouraged through a process of continuous self-study and peer-to-peer evaluation. Schools that have been awarded with full accredited status have demonstrated that they have achieved high standards of professional performance in international education and have a commitment to continuing improvement and best practices.
VIS is also accredited with the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) for the Diploma Program (DP), Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Middle Years Program (MYP).
The International Baccalaureate (IB) programs are available through IB World Schools in over 150 countries. The Diploma Program is recognized by many universities and colleges globally and is a highly regarded entrance qualification.
